With counseling experience spanning community outpatient Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) programs, Vivitrol and Drug Court programs, residential treatment programs, and corrections environments, Ashley possesses a breadth of experience working with those battling substance use disorders and overcoming noncompliant behavior. Ashley most recently served as Director of Women's Partial Hospitalization at The Counseling Center, Inc., a nonprofit behavioral healthcare agency specializing in creating positive substance abuse, mental health, physical health, and recovery housing outcomes. Prior to her work at The Counseling Center, Inc., Ashley was employed by the Ohio Department of Mental Health & Addiction Services (OhioMHAS) as a Corrections Program Coordinator. Earlier in her career, she served as a Counselor with TASC of Southeast Ohio and Health Recovery Services, Inc. In addition to her professional experience, Ashley completed the Ohio Department of Mental Health & Addiction Services’ Supervisor of Peer Recovery Supporters program. Recognizing the importance of wellness in recovery, she completed a Master Certified Wellness Coaching (MCWC) program through the Catalyst Coaching Institute in Littleton Colorado and is a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC). Ashley received her Masters of Science, Criminal Justice from Tiffin University.
Travis Bookwalter, CDCA
Director of Housing
Beginning his career as an addiction professional, Travis began working in housing as a Residential Support Specialist (RSS) with Compass Point Housing/The Counseling Center, Inc. and Shawnee Counseling Center, gaining an array of experience spanning supportive housing, residential treatment, and sober living environments. Later in his career, he was employed by Riverside Recovery Services as an evening Case Manager in their Men's Sober Living. Travis most recently served as a Counselor in the Men’s Partial Hospitalization program with The Counseling Center, Inc. Accompanying his professional experience, he has earned the CDCA credential.
